The paddle-type flow indicators feature a built-in paddle that rotates or moves in response to fluid flow. Ball & Spinner

In contrast, the rising ball type of flow indicator is typically employed in gas or air applications. In this design, a ball within the indicator rises in response to positive flow, providing a clear visual indication of flow status.

Rising Ball Flow Indicators

When there’s no flow, the white PTFE ball stays in place within the body socket. As flow increases, the ball rises out of the socket, becoming visible. It continues to ascend and move within the dome as flow rate rises. For proper installation, mount the Flow-Mon rising ball horizontally, with the glass dome facing upwards. Clear visibility of the ball confirms flow in the pipes effectively.

Spinner Style Flow Indicators

This spinner design can be mounted both horizontally and vertically, offering bi-directional flow indication with low pressure losses. With a tough construction, this product offers excellent structural integrity and compatibility with a wide range of applications. When calibrated, flow indicators are not needed. This simple indicator will satisfy most requirements within pipe sizes 8mm to 40mm.
