What is a mechanical fuel counter?

Standard version fuel transfer meters come without a pulser but visual indication showing the amount of fuel that has been pumped. A meter pulser version can be supplied if it is necessary to trigger an eternal switch or counter for fuel batches. These are traditional type oil meters with an odometer style face. They can be used in home fuel applications, small business, and the transfer of fuel from one container to another. The smaller versions in 1 inch use the nutating disc principle but other versions are also available for higher flow velocities and pressure. This is a standard traditional meter is typically described as a mechanical fuel dispensing flow meter. Since the fuel meter is fully mechanical in nature, it is not necessary to install a power supply. This is a great advantage when it is inconvenient to continually power a fuel dispenser meter, especially in remote locations. Digital Fuel Flow meters are optional and are normally battery operated.
